The Georgia Electronic Design Center (GEDC) is a leading center of innovation for Georgia's mixed-signal communications research effort. By providing students and faculty at the state's major research universities with support from both the public and the private sectors, the Center fosters unique state / industry / university partnerships. GEDC is also responsible for developing a strong commercialization program to move research results out of university research labs and into Georgia-based companies.

To support its research and commercialization endeavors, GEDC recruits corporations to become members. These member companies participate in GEDC's leading edge research and share in the commercialization opportunities inherent in the technology. GEDC also partners with organizations interested in specific research programs.
