GTronixGTronix is an Atlanta start-up company developing advanced analog signal processing technology at the Georgia Institute of Technology. A recent round of funding with Silicon Valley-based Menlo Ventures will support commercialization of analog semiconductor technology that could allow wireless devices to provide enhanced features, while dramatically reducing overall power consumption. Formed through Georgia Tech's VentureLab program, the firm hopes to integrate its chips into future generations of portable wireless products to improve performance, lower costs, and reduce power consumption. The new company has exclusively licensed two patents for cooperative analog-digital signal processing from Georgia Tech. Developed in the laboratory of Professor Paul Hasler in Georgia Tech's School of Electrical and Computer Engineering, the technology allows a high level of programmability for analog circuits that could facilitate a broad range of new commercial applications. |
